Your Data Never Leaves Your Browser
All tools on TheDevToolbox run 100% client-side. When you paste code, JSON, JWT tokens, or any other data into our tools, it is processed entirely in your browser using JavaScript. Your data is never sent to our servers. We cannot see, access, or store anything you process.
What We Do Not Collect
Analytics
We use privacy-focused analytics to understand how our tools are used. Our analytics solution:
We only see aggregate data like page views and referral sources to understand which tools are useful. We cannot identify individual visitors.
Local Storage
Some tools use your browser's local storage to save preferences (like theme settings or recent inputs) between sessions. This data stays entirely on your device and is never transmitted to any server. You can clear this data anytime through your browser settings.
Collaborative Features
Certain collaborative features require real-time communication between participants. Session data for these features is transmitted through secure third-party services but is not permanently stored. All session data is ephemeral and deleted when participants disconnect.
Third-Party Services
We use third-party services for hosting, analytics, and real-time collaborative features. These services are selected for their privacy practices and compliance with data protection regulations. Our hosting infrastructure may collect standard server logs, including IP addresses, for security and performance monitoring purposes. These logs are handled according to industry-standard practices.
